Real feedback from students I've worked with, plus the verified numbers behind it.
"Kenji was a great support to have during my USMLE Step 1 studying! He was especially helpful in breaking down complex high-yield topics into simple, digestible formats. He also helped me stay on schedule, understand where I should be, and provided helpful tips and resources to improve my scores. He was always quick to respond, positive, and encouraging throughout the process. He was really encouraging, especially in the last few weeks when I was panicking, which helped with my self-confidence. I would 100% recommend Kenji to other students preparing for Step 1!"
"Kenji was an invaluable part of my Step 1 journey. As an IMG you are constantly reminded how high the stakes are, and that a failed attempt more or less ends the US route. I'm an anxious person anyway, and under that pressure I went at it far too hard. I gave up my sport and buried myself in Anki. The worst part was knowing I wasn't actually being productive.
What changed once I started working with Kenji was realising I had fundamentally misunderstood what the exam asks of you. You need to know a little about everything, not a lot about a little. He taught me to think in terms of high yield and low yield, and his knowledge of the exam was encyclopaedic. He knew every resource worth knowing, and I could ask him anything, however obscure, and have an answer within five minutes, often at midnight.
I could write about how clearly he explains things, but that would miss the most important part, which is how he made me feel over the year. I was scoring well and still convinced I would fail. Kenji reassured me every time, and it landed differently coming from someone who had sat in the same chair.
That was his real skill. He worked out where my worries were actually coming from rather than just answering the question in front of him, and he led without flattening the differences in how people learn. I could not recommend him more highly as a tutor or as a leader."
